Say hi to one of our long time Highland Park member, Keith Wittenberg! He is pretty awesome and seeing him in the gym crushing it with his sons is quite amazing! Get to know Keith a little more and what Win Your Life means to him!
1. How long have you been training at The Power House?
I have been part of the Power House community for more than 5 years having joined soon after they first opened. When I first started the classes were all in the upstairs space and rarely more than 3 or 4 people.
2. What is one of your favorite fitness accomplishments?
I feel like surviving any AMRAP lasting more than 15 minutes can be considered an accomplishment. As for a favorite CrossFit accomplishment, I’d definitely say completing the Murph which is both a very physically and mentally-challenging workout.
3. How have you stayed motivated during COVID?
Since just after the beginning of the pandemic, the Power House has made it much easier to help me stay motivated. I did lots of outdoor classes at Maddocks Park over the summer and then did virtual classes in the fall prior to the gym reopening. Finally being able to get back to the gym just confirmed how important it has become for me, both as a source of stress-relief but also as a way to connect with others.
4. What does Win your Life mean to you?
Win your Life is all about both feeling content and confident with who you are as a person and where you are in life, while also being willing to push yourself outside your comfort zone from time to time in order to challenge yourself.
5. What are you looking forward to in 2021?
I am hoping that the pandemic ends and life returns to normal at some point in 2021. From a CrossFit standpoint I have lots of things to work on in 2021 (and beyond) including my lifting technique, getting better at double unders and also need to spend more time doing yoga!
Thank you, Keith for sharing you answers with us, we appreciate you! We also can’t wait to see you crush your goals this year and continue to rock it in class. #WinYourLife
