Our members are committed, energized, and passionate. Today, we highlight Jim Chan on 100 visits to The Power House! We are so happy to have Jim in our community. He exemplifies our values of Kaizen, customization, and all-in. Congratulations on 100 visits!
Jim says that he has had a lot of great memories over the past 100 visits. Some of his favorites include “completing the first rope climb of my entire life to stepping up and knocking out a workout with a weighted vest.” He also works hard with coaches Meg, Nick, Gunnar, and Tyler. He is very grateful to have worked with these four coaches who help him get better with every visit. Jim has been able to complete some awesome goals in our gym. He says he has been able to learn how to use a barbell and perform power and olympic lifts. He says, “I’ve never touched a barbell before joining and was beyond intimidated. Ian Earp did a great job working with me during the onramp and everyone else has taken over from there.” Way to go, Jim!! His biggest goal for the future is increased proficiency for gymnastics movements and building strength and techniques to do a bar muscle-up.
His biggest unexpected accomplishment was signing up for Gameday Championship Men’s Scaled division. “My goal for all of this was to just get a score for the 2019 Open, but after speaking with Meg and Nick I’ve decided to go for it!” We love that Jim has been so passionate about bettering himself and his energy at the gym improves every member’s experience. His dedication to working towards his goals is inspiration for all those around him. We are so proud!
