One of our awesome athletes, Anne Hart, has an exciting opportunity for The Power House community. Anne, a cross-country skier in the 2018 Olympics, recently ended her professional ski career. Anne embodied our motto, Win Your Life, in all her training here at The Power House and is now taking this motto to different heights by helping other athletes win their lives!
Anne is running the New York City Marathon as a part of a non-profit charity organization, the Women’s Sports Foundation. The WSF is a New York City-based non-profit founded by tennis legend Billie Jean King in 1974 with the sole purpose of creating leaders by ensuring all girls access to sports. The Foundation’s mission resonated strongly with Anne, as all of her best learning experiences, character growth, and friendships have come through athletics.
Anne has pledged to raise $4000 by November 4th for WSF with half of the goal raised by August 31st. Anne says, “ I am excited to have a new athletic goal that simultaneously supports a life goal—inspiring and empowering all women and girls to stay in sport.” The Power House couldn’t be prouder to support Anne in her goal and has set our own goal to raise $1000 for Anne by the end of July. Encouraging every athlete to stay in sports and stay active is very important to us, and we think it’s great that Anne is able to support such a great cause!
