Oops I redlined again.
I waited too long, to go back to the gym.
Oh baby, baby.
Oops I got halfway there
And then had to end
I’m not that consistent yet

My class today was after the long fourth of the July weekend, so I took a longer break than I probably should. Don’t worry I’ll get right back on track; I’m scheduling yet another class as I’m writing this. Again, consistency is key to Cross-Fit. The best you can do is when you redline is shrug it off, make up a song parody about it and come in at most 3 days later ready to crush it.
Today was another Workout of the Day (WOD) with more learning of how to do power snatches. I really had to make sure that I was getting that barbell near my body and using my hips properly to get the bar overhead. The instructor was super helpful and gave me some good tips to make sure I was doing it properly. Surprisingly what really got me today were the overhead squats. I’m not used to squatting with the bar over and a little behind my head with my arms extended. I’ll take some time to get used to it. The burpees and box jumps were okay. I did 3 out of the 5 sets which isn’t as bad as the first time I redlined. My goal is to get into the consistency and the pace where I can fully complete the WOD. Thanks again to the instructor who was super helpful and nice even though I couldn’t complete the entire WOD.
