Great news for the CrossFit community! A study released from the Journal of Occupational Therapy confirms that doing CrossFit workouts help people with Type II diabetes. According to the study, “a six-week CrossFit exercise program led to improved insulin sensitivity and reduced heart disease risk in adults with Type II diabetes.” Interestingly, the results after the six weeks were similar to those doing other workout regimes, but the CrossFit classes sped up health benefits in patients. In other words, CrossFit helps your body while you work out for less time.
